The Brief: To lead a complete brand transformation for a historic pub and restaurant under new management. The goal was to move away from “traditional country pub” tropes and establish a contemporary, sophisticated destination that appeals to a modern demographic.
The Solution: I developed a minimalist, monotone visual identity that strips away the clutter of the past. By focusing on a clean typographic system and a refined icon, the brand now sits comfortably in the “Boutique Gastropub” sector. The identity was designed to work seamlessly across architectural signage, luxury menus, and digital platforms.
Technical Execution:
Asset Management: Managed the transition of all legacy assets to the new identity, ensuring 100% brand consistency during the renovation phase.
Production Oversight: Developed technical specifications for large-scale external signage and tactile interior touchpoints.
Scalability: Created a “responsive” logo system that maintains legibility from tiny social media icons to large-scale stone-mounted frames.
